Project Overview:

With support from WHH and WEPP-Cowater, the Local Governance School (LGS) aimed to digitally equip community leaders, local officials, and civil society members in the merged districts of KP. IT Artificer was engaged to develop a multilingual Learning Management System (LMS) enriched with e-content focused on civic education, legal awareness, and the Local Government Act.

The project was part of a broader mission to improve digital literacy, promote inclusive governance, and encourage informed participation in local administrative processes.

Client Profile:

The Local Governance School trains community mobilizers, elected representatives, and administrators on legal frameworks, rights awareness, and local development planning. With increased focus on newly merged tribal areas, the need for an accessible and scalable digital training platform became essential.

Challenges:

  • Absence of structured digital content for community education
  • Language barriers among target groups in rural districts
  • Difficulty organizing physical trainings in geographically dispersed regions
  • Low digital literacy levels among intended users
  • Limited tools for performance tracking and engagement measurement

Our Solution:

IT Artificer delivered a responsive, user-friendly LMS platform that included:

  • Bilingual content support (Urdu & Pashto)
  • Audio-visual lessons based on KP Local Government Act
  • Interactive quizzes and feedback collection
  • Admin panel to manage users, content, and course tracking
  • Mobile-friendly access with offline content capabilities
  • Real-time data dashboard for trainers and donors

We also conducted hands-on digital literacy training for local community representatives to ensure effective use.
