Local Government Kpk Android App & Website for Public Awareness in Newly Merged Areas

Overview
In support of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s initiative to integrate and empower citizens in the newly merged tribal districts, IT Artificer developed a comprehensive Android application and website to spread awareness about citizen rights, public services, and governance structures. This project serves as a bridge between the government and newly included communities, providing easy access to vital civic knowledge.
Solution Delivered
The application and accompanying website were designed to educate, engage, and empower the people of the merged areas by providing localized, accessible, and multilingual content:
- Civic Rights Awareness Modules:
Provided detailed, easy-to-understand information about the rights of citizens under the new governance framework, including legal protections, services access, and constitutional changes post-merger. - Audio-Based Learning:
Integrated audio playback features in Urdu and Pashto, making the app accessible to individuals with limited literacy, especially in remote areas. - Mobile Application (Android):
Developed a lightweight, intuitive Android app that works well in low-bandwidth environments and is compatible with entry-level smartphones commonly used in rural KP. - Responsive Web Platform:
Created a companion website that mirrors the mobile content for users who prefer desktop access or have community internet access points. - Multilingual Content:
The app and website support Urdu, Pashto, and English, ensuring inclusivity across diverse linguistic populations. - Offline Access Capability:
Key content, including audio files, can be pre-downloaded for offline use—ensuring continued access in areas with intermittent internet connectivity.
